Paris |
| Paris, who
belongs to Trilliaceae isn't very well known in Danish gardens. Maybe
it's because the flowers isn't specially showy or conspicuous, as it by
the most species is green. It's a very exiting and interesting genus which we like very much. |
Most of the
species grows in Asia. The most in China, but there is also species in
Japan, Korea and the surrounding countries. Also Caucasus is represented, and so is Europe including Denmark |
The root is a
creeping rhizome. Paris, which in nature grows in forests, shall be placed in shade in the garden, and they thrives good in full shade. They like a humus rich, neutral to acid, moist and well drained soil. |
